Hikers Paradise at Feuerkogel

The Christophorushut in summer is a unique and special place for moutain and nature lovers. We are at 1600 meter altitute above the lake traunsee on a very sunny peak with a beautiful mountain landscape. About 50 kilometer of different trails and a lot of summits invite you to go hiking. There are trails for children or elder people to very sportive trails.

Close by is the Aberfeldkogel via ferrata , a mountainbike downhill trail or a paragliding launch side, so everyone can enjoy the nature up the feuerkogel. Watersport fans appreciate the  closeby famous austrian kite/wingfoil spot in Rindbach in Ebensee. Its only 5 minutes from the Cablecar valley station. 

 Rooms

We have space for 48 people dividet out in different kind of rooms. The price for the room for adults/ night is €62 inkl. local organic breakfast. 

For children ( until 11 years)   € 30 inkl. local organic breakfast.

a big dorm room for 28 people.

From the rooms and the sun terrace you can enjoy a beautiful mountain view.

How to reach the hut

You can´t go by car to our hut, but with the Feuerkogel Cablecar. There is a free parking lot at the Cablecar station. It takes you only 7 Minutes up the mountain to our hut. The cablecar runs from 8.20 to 6pm every 20 minutes. The adress of the cable car valley station is, Rudolf Ippisch Platz 4, 4802 Ebensee. 

For the sportive people is a beautiful hike from ebensee or the cable car valley station. About 3 hours to hike and 1200 of altitude. You have to be in a good shape, bring water and hiking boots as well.

Food/Kitchen

At our hut we serve you typical austrian alpine kitchen with influences of all countries and cultures we have been travelling to.

We have only a view dishes on the menu but we make everything by ourselfs. no industry products and convinience dishes leaf the kitchen. Only real food with recepies from our grandparents wo kept the austrian alpin kitchen for our generation.

We serve hearty dishes for meat lovers and as well healthy vegan options.  This season we are happy to have nepalese dishes on our menü, because of our team members sonam and lakpa from nepal.
